Installation error: Sharing Violation

Hi, I downloaded this game back in February, and tried installing it on my new Notebook running Windows 8.1.

I followed installation instructions as per normal, however the installation could not be completed due to a Sharing Violation.

I have checked my log in name on my notebook, and it does have Administrator next to it in the control panel, so I don't know why I'm getting this message.

I really would like to complete installation.

I tried filling in the form to contact Hoyle directly, to report the problem, however as I am in the UK I cannot fill in the telephone number correctly, as it doesn't allow for the number format for mobile phones, so I was unable to contact them that way. The only phone numbers which were given for me to ring for support are based in the US or Canada, so I am reluctant to try ringing either of those, due to excessive charges. It was only today that I discovered there are these forums available for help, I guess I've stuck my head in the sand up till now.

I did go onto a general forum for technical errors, elsewhere, for sharing violations, and it tried to show how to go onto the Properties and then Security tabs of the programme, to change the Admin so that I could install the game correctly, but I couldn't really figure out what if anything needed altering.

Any help would really be appreciated, as I don't even know how to 'cancel' my purchase of the item, download only as I did not order a disk, and to claim my money back. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have this exact same error (I purchased and downloaded the software today) except under Win 7 64-bit.

I have tried installing as Administrator and changing compatability to Win XP SP3, but it changes nothing.

Please help - thanks!
